Ich verfüge über eine juristische Ausbildung in Deutschland und im Vereinigten Königreich mit Studien an der Universität zu Köln sowie einem LL.M. der Queen Mary University of London.
Ergänzt wird diese durch ein Postgraduate Diploma in Terminology der Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona sowie weiterführende Qualifikationen in den Bereichen Mediation, Human Rights Education, Außenwirtschaft und internationaler Handel, Intercultural and Business Communication, Psychology of Advanced Communication und TEFL.
Als Juristin und Sprachwissenschaftlerin verbinde ich juristische Fachkenntnis mit sprachlicher Präzision, interkulturellem Verständnis und langjähriger Erfahrung im Bereich Legal English und professioneller Kommunikation.
Ich spreche fünf Sprachen und bewege mich seit vielen Jahren in internationalen und mehrsprachigen Arbeitsumfeldern. Diese Erfahrung hat mein Verständnis dafür geprägt, wie unterschiedlich Menschen kommunizieren, verhandeln, argumentieren und Bedeutung vermitteln.
Sprache ist dabei weit mehr als die Wahl der richtigen Worte. Sie ist eng mit kulturellen Erwartungen, beruflichen Kontexten und unterschiedlichen Denk- und Arbeitsweisen verbunden.
Meine Arbeit bewegt sich an der Schnittstelle von Recht, Sprache und internationaler Kommunikation. Ich unterstütze Jurist, Kanzleien, Unternehmen, Universitäten und international tätige Fachkräfte bei den sprachlichen und kommunikativen Anforderungen grenzüberschreitender Arbeitskontexte.
Die Fähigkeit, zwischen unterschiedlichen Sprachen, Kulturen und professionellen Perspektiven zu vermitteln, spielt dabei eine zentrale Rolle. Nicht weil Unterschiede überwunden werden müssen, sondern weil erfolgreiche Kommunikation häufig dort entsteht, wo verschiedene Sichtweisen verstanden und miteinander verbunden werden.
Im Vordergrund steht keine standardisierte Methode, sondern eine Arbeitsweise, die sich am jeweiligen Fachgebiet, Kommunikationsanlass und professionellen Kontext orientiert. Ziel ist eine Kommunikation, die fachlich präzise, sprachlich überzeugend und kulturell angemessen ist.

About me
I am a lawyer, linguist and communication consultant working at the intersection of law, language and international professional practice.
My academic background includes legal studies in Germany and the United Kingdom, an LL.M. from Queen Mary University of London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Terminology from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. I have also undertaken further studies in mediation, human rights education, international trade, intercultural and business communication, the psychology of advanced communication and TEFL.
Having grown up bilingually and worked across multiple languages and cultures throughout my professional life, I have developed a particular interest in how meaning is created, interpreted and negotiated across linguistic and cultural boundaries. I speak five languages and have long been fascinated by the fact that ideas, concepts and even professional expectations rarely transfer perfectly from one language to another.
This experience continues to shape the way I work. Communication is rarely just about finding the right words. It is equally about understanding context, audience, culture and purpose. What may appear clear and persuasive in one professional environment can be perceived very differently in another.
Over the years, I have worked with lawyers, law firms, academics, businesses and internationally active professionals from a wide range of sectors and jurisdictions. These experiences have reinforced my belief that effective communication often depends on the ability to move comfortably between different professional cultures, legal traditions and ways of thinking.
The ability to navigate these differences has become increasingly important in an interconnected world. Whether the challenge involves legal terminology, professional drafting, international negotiations or cross-border communication, the objective remains the same: to communicate with clarity, precision and confidence while remaining sensitive to the context in which communication takes place.
